I need someone to fix the handle/latch on my bedroom door. The door handle moves normally from both sides, but the latch/bolt does not retract when the handle is turned. This means if the door is closed, it may become stuck/locked shut and unable to open.

Looking for an experienced locksmith or timber-door repair specialist to assess and repair our large timber front door. We prefer to retain and repair the existing door rather than replace it. The main issues are: - The Lockwood deadbolt turns easily with the door open but is very stiff to lock and unlock when closed. Pulling the door firmly towards you from outside helps, but it remains tight. - The key is also difficult to remove, even with the door open. You need to press the small circular part surrounding the keyhole to release it. This happens with multiple keys. - The roller catch provides weak retention, allowing the unlocked door to rattle or blow open in strong wind. We would like this improved. - When closed but unlocked, the door can be pressed approximately 5–10 mm further into its closed position, then springs back slightly. A previous tradesperson secured a loose timber strip along the handle-side edge with nails. It now feels firm, although the top appears slightly uneven compared with the adjoining timber. The earlier work only briefly improved the door’s operation. The door currently does not appear to scrape the floor or frame, and the hinges feel firm. Please assess the door alignment, receiving plates, roller catch, lock cylinder and previous timber repair and carry out the appropriate repairs. The goal is for everyone to close, lock, unlock and remove the key easily, without force or a special technique. Please outline your experience with similar timber-door and lock repairs, what your offer includes, and any potential additional parts costs.

Two issues: 1. The latch does not fully retract when the handle is pressed. 2. The key gets stuck and will not fully retract the locking bolts. They are currently retracted in the photo because I hammered them back in.

Looking for someone to repair/re-secure a loose external door handle that is connected to an electronic keypad lock. The keypad/locking mechanism is working normally and the door still locks, unlocks and opens fine. The issue is just that the handle and circular mounting plate have become loose and are pulling away from the door (see photos). Would like the handle properly secured back flush to the door and any damaged/rusted screws or fixings replaced if required. Budget: $100 including any basic replacement screws/fixings.
