Excavate compacted clay soil, 20cm deep, from back garden, take soil away. SPECIFICS - Garden is 85m2.(6.9m wide x 12.4m long) - Soil is very compact clay / shale following removal of concrete covering. I’m wanting to plant grass, but soil is too bad. - Need 20cm (or as much as possible) of topsoil scrapped away. (as separate project, I will replace it with new fresh topsoil). - 85m2 area at 20cm deep means 85 x .2 = 17m3 of soil to be removed which weighs around 25 metric tons. If 20cm is to difficult, I can settle for 10cm deep. Soil must be removed. I want it gone. ACCESS Access is fine if digger is no more than 1.25m in width. Area is in back garden, so digger needs to travel around 40 metres from road to get to the area and 40 metres to remove the soil. EQUIPMENT NEEDED -Soil is very compacted. Clay / shale as its been under concrete for many years. I would assume you would need a reasonably powerful digger that can scrape to 20cm deep. - I would ideally like to assign this to someone who has experience and all the equipment, but I can hire the following equipment if needed: 1. a bobcat s70 skid steer loader (1,2m wide) or a kanga mini loader (1m wide) with 4 in 1 bucket (not sure that is strong enough to scrape to 20cm deep) 2. a rotary hoe to till the soil that may make it easier to scrape it out 3. skips to take the soil. WHEN? I'm very flexible (weekdays / weekends / times) I'm ready to have it done now, but want to ensure that the person assigned can do it.

We need two garden beds removed. They are just old planter boxes with dirt. There is access along the house through our side gate, so easy to bring in a wheel barrow to remove. We are also close to the tip, so easy to transport. You must have your own tools and ute.
