Looking for a skilled carpenter or handy maker to design and construct a lightweight, modular pine-look display system for a market stall. The entire system must be easy to transport and require minimal-to-no tools for assembly (ideally pieces slot together). 1. Modular Pegboard Wall (~2.8m W x 50cm H) Purpose: To hang individual products using small dowels, or to mount the grid display box (Item 2). Transport: Must be modular/split into sections to fit inside or on the roof racks of a Mitsubishi Outlander (waterproofed if transport is external). Setup: Needs free-standing, weight-bearing legs with waterproof feet for outdoor use. Can also attach to marquee legs for stability. Clearance: Designed to sit nicely above a 1.23m high display table under a 2m marquee eave. Portability: Must be lightweight enough for easy lifting by one or two people. 2. Wooden Grid Display Box (3 x 4 Grid) Purpose: To showcase twelve 8cm diameter baubles. Mounting: Must attach securely to the pegboard wall (e.g., using dowels on the back that slot into the pegboard holes) or flat on a table. Protection: Features a layer of red velvet cushioning on the back panel to prevent breakage. I need an 80mm round cable management hole drilled into a laminate desk (not solid wood) for cables to pass through. The desk thickness is approx. 33mm. The job should be a clean cut with no chipping on the laminate surface. You will need to bring the appropriate tools (hole saw / drill setup) and protect the surface while cutting.

I'm looking for an experienced furniture designer, industrial designer, furniture maker, upholsterer, metal fabricator, or commercial furniture manufacturer to help develop and build a unique outdoor seating piece for use within a premium event-hire business. I have a strong concept and general design direction in mind, but I'm looking for someone who can collaborate on refining the design, improving functionality, and determining the best construction and manufacturing approach. The piece will need to be: Visually distinctive and premium Suitable for outdoor use Durable and transportable Comfortable and practical for repeated event use Capable of being produced initially as a prototype, with a small production run of approximately 3 units A key requirement is that the furniture is designed and built for commercial use in Australia. I'm seeking someone who understands commercial furniture requirements and can advise on appropriate safety, durability, stability and engineering considerations. Experience with hospitality, event, commercial, public-space or outdoor furniture is highly desirable. Looking for an experienced carpenter or handyman to install a 15mm plywood subfloor over an existing timber deck for an enclosed balcony-to-sunroom conversion in Seven Hills. Framing and windows are already professionally installed. Project Specs: Floor Area: 6.2m x 1.9m (~11.8 sq m). Existing Base: Timber deck boards running parallel to the house walls. Materials: 5 sheets of 2400x1200x15mm CD structural plywood. Scope of Work: 1. Cut & Layout: Cut and lay sheets into a staggered brick pattern. Row 1: full 1200mm width. Row 2: ripped down to 700mm wide. 2. Edge Sealing: Seal all 4 edges of every cut and factory plywood panel with a 1:1 PVA glue/water mix before fixing to prevent moisture swelling. 3. Installation: Apply continuous lines of construction adhesive (Liquid Nails) to the deck boards to prevent squeaks. Fix sheets using 50mm timber screws spaced 150mm at edges and 300mm in the center. 4. Gapping & Sealing: Maintain a mandatory 3mm expansion gap around the perimeter and between all sheets using spacers. Fill all joints flush with flexible polyurethane timber gap filler. Important Notes: Materials Provided: I will supply all permanent materials (plywood, PVA glue, Liquid Nails, screws, timber gap filler). Tools: Please bring your own professional tools (circular saw, guide rails, drill/impact driver, caulking gun). Precision: Total floor buildup must remain tight/flush due to low ceiling constraints. Care is required at the transition doorway to ensure it does not create a severe trip hazard. Timber faces must remain raw (no membranes). Please provide your labor quote and estimated timeframe.
