have a small timber stand that needs to be stripped back from its current painted finish. The top is slightly loose and may need to be hammered or tightened to make it stable. Once stripped and sanded, I’d like the timber finished in a light natural oak tone (similar to a Tassie-style oak finish).

Looking for an experienced cabinetmaker/joiner/carpenter to measure, supply, manufacture and install custom shelving to match existing dark walnut kitchen cabinetry. Area 1: Floating shelves in the narrow space between the right-hand cabinetry and wall/window. Ideally concealed fixings with no visible brackets. Area 2: One custom shelf spanning the open space underneath the centre overhead cabinets. Existing cabinetry has a dark walnut/oak-look finish. Looking for the closest practical colour and grain match. Happy with timber veneer, stained timber or matching laminate depending on what gives the best result. Price to include measuring, materials, cutting, finishing/staining, fixings and installation.

Looking for an experienced cabinet maker, joiner or handyman to assess and modify an existing kitchen fridge cavity in my apartment. I recently purchased the property and would like to fit my existing refrigerator into the built-in fridge space. Current fridge dimensions: • Height: 1725mm • Width: 790mm • Depth: 686mm Current fridge cavity dimensions: • Height: 1700mm • Width: 780mm • Depth: 745mm The fridge is approximately: • 25mm taller than the opening • 10mm wider than the opening I’m looking for someone to: • Assess whether the existing cabinetry can be modified • Recommend the most practical solution • Complete the modification if feasible • Ensure the finished result looks neat and matches the existing cabinetry as closely as possible Please provide: • Relevant cabinet making/joinery experience • Examples/photos of similar work (if available) • An indication of how you would approach the job I can provide photos of the fridge cavity and surrounding cabinetry upon request.
