I’m looking for an experienced carpenter or cabinet maker to install a custom timber top over an existing internal window sill in my apartment. The goal is to create a clean, modern timber window ledge/window seat similar to the reference image attached. Budget: $1,200 (Open to Offers) Scope of work * Measure on site to confirm dimensions. * Supply and install a quality timber panel (or recommend the best material). * Cut to fit the existing angled window shape. * Provide a neat 25 mm front overhang. * Finish exposed edges with matching timber edging. * Secure the panel without damaging the existing window sill. * Ensure a clean, professional finish. Approximate dimensions * Front width: 2640 mm * Back width: 2570 mm * Left side: 1120 mm * Right side: 410 mm * Front overhang: 25 mm (1 inch) (Final measurements to be confirmed on site.) Material preference Open to recommendations, but considering: * Tasmanian Oak * American Oak * Engineered timber with matching veneer Looking for a natural timber finish with a clear satin coating. Looking for a woodworker who can make me a collapsible walnut wooden plank xmas tree. See images for inspiration. I have 16x lengths of walnut timber in my garage for this project. 8x of those are 450x32x32mm, 8x of them are 410x32x32mm. Ideally this xmas tree is completely collapsible, and uses the timber as a feet base as well. I'm thinking that it should have a stainless steel rod/threaded rod that goes through all the planks and into the feet. This job might need some back and forth design work with me :) You'll need to come and pick up the timber from Bondi.

I'm looking to replace this existing storage unit in the pic attached with a custom walnut cabinet. I would like shallow drawers on the left, deeper drawers on the right, and a central cupboard with a hinged door. Behind this door is my hot water tank, so the height/width of this can not be changed much. The top should run level across the full width. I'd like it to be a nice deep wood colour, I was suggested American walnut polytec colour which would run well with my other furniture. Could you provide a rough estimate? I would like the mirror removed and have the unit go right across. I have added a mock up photo of what was in my head made by chatgpt. 165cm for full width 59.5cm deep for the majority of it 30cm deep for the part of the left 135cm tall

I'm looking for a cabinetmaker, joiner or custom-furniture maker to design and build a low open shelving unit to sit behind a freestanding sofa in my apartment in Erskineville. The piece will act as a room divider and display shelf. It should resemble a vintage Danish/mid-century teak low bookcase, with open asymmetrical compartments similar to the attached references. Approximate dimensions: - 1950mm wide - 300mm deep - 570mm high Design requirements: - Open shelving visible and accessible from both sides - No doors, drawers or back panel - Mix of differently sized rectangular and square compartments - Space for coffee-table books, records, candles and decorative objects - Straight architectural outer frame - No visible legs - Warm teak or walnut appearance to complement an existing vintage teak cabinet - Matte or low-sheen finish - All faces, edges and internal surfaces must be properly finished, as the unit will be visible from both rooms Curved appearance created using CNC-cut or router-cut flat panels; no bent lamination required. We have a young toddler, so stability is important. Because the unit will not sit against a wall, is it possible to have the base solid. I'm thinking a high-quality prefinished walnut-look furniture board. Budget is flexible depending on material and construction proposal. I’m happy to simplify the curved details to keep it affordable.

I'm looking for a carpenter or cabinet maker to build a set of custom fabric-wrapped acoustic panels for my home music studio. This is a manufacturing job only. Installation is not required. Requirements Please manufacture the following: • 10 × wall panels, 1200 × 600 × 70 mm. • 1 × ceiling cloud, 1800 × 1200 × 70 mm. • 4 × corner bass traps, floor-to-ceiling, approximately 1970 mm high to suit the room. Construction Panels to be built using: • Timber frames. • High-density acoustic insulation (Bradford Soundscreen, Rockwool or equivalent). • Black acoustically transparent fabric. • Clean, square edges with a professional finish. Each panel should be fully assembled and ready for installation, including: • Insulation fitted. • Rear fabric or other suitable finish to fully contain the insulation. • Hanging hardware fitted or supplied (please recommend your preferred system).
