What do garden pond maintenance services include?

Maintaining a beautiful and healthy pond requires proper care and attention. With Airtasker, we make it easy and convenient for you to hire skilled specialists who can handle all your pond maintenance needs. Whether it's fixing leaks, replacing filters or pumps, or general pond cleaning, you won't have to worry as our Taskers can get the job done right away. For a better idea of what we can offer you, here are more details:

Garden pond maintenance

Good preventive maintenance is key to keeping your garden pond in tip-top shape. Since each pond or water feature has its unique conditions and qualities, you can get help from a Tasker who can do a maintenance and cleaning service that fits your pond's needs.

Pond owners often notice blanket weed, algae overgrowth, or green water on their garden ponds. Your Tasker can install a new filter system and UVC bulb or advise you on the best algae treatment to help return your pond's water to a crystal clear colour. They can also take out any floating debris such as dried leaves and uneaten fish food and keep your pond protected by installing netting and other recommended filtration options.

Garden pond repair

Once you notice your garden pond leaking and losing water, it's crucial to get it fixed as soon as possible. Airtasker has plenty of pond repair experts who can assist you in getting your garden pond back in good running condition. The first step involves turning your pond equipment off to prevent ongoing water loss.

Your Tasker can then trace the source of the leakage. It can either be in your pond liner, discharge duct or feed, or at the space where your duct is attached to the filter or pump. Once they locate the leak, all it takes is a simple process of quickly patching it up with a pond repair kit, and your garden pond repair is completed in no time.

Garden pond installation

In case you're looking to install a new pond for your garden, you can also turn to our Taskers for help. Pond construction is a detailed and complex job that requires the skills and expertise of a seasoned installer. After you've chosen where to install your pond, your Tasker can dig through the area while making sure there are no gas, electrical, or plumbing lines underneath.

Afterwards, a plastic liner, as well as flagstone, is laid out inside the hole. Then, a pump is placed and attached to the tubing. All gaps are then covered with a creative arrangement of rocks and stones. To complete your pond installation, your Tasker adds water and other aquatic plants for a tropical oasis right in your home.
