Outdoor furniture set to be assembled

This chair leg broke in a move of house. We have tried to fix it and had a carpenter have a look as well, but we can’t seem to do it. The thread of bolt just doesn’t seem to catch and just need it fixed now. See pictures of the broken chair and 1 photo of what it should look like.
