Hi, I’m looking for an experienced carpenter/handyperson to build a raised platform. I have attached reference photos showing the general look and style we are trying to achieve. Approximate requirements: • Around 1200 mm wide • Approximately 1000 to 1200 mm deep, final dimensions can be confirmed based on the chair • Approximately 450 mm high • Strong enough to safely support approximately 200 kg combined load, with an appropriate safety margin • Solid finished top suitable for a chair • Sides to be neatly enclosed/finished • Neat, professional finish similar to the reference photos We are open to your recommendation on the best construction method and materials to make it strong, safe and cost-effective. Please include materials, construction, delivery and installation in your quote. We will provide the paint Please also include photos of similar carpentry or platform work you have completed. The space is on the second floor with stair access, so please take this into consideration when planning construction and installation. Must be completed and installed by 17 October.

Looking for an experienced painter/handyman with excellent attention to detail to finish some timber work at our home in Camberwell. For the baby gates: * Leave the existing natural timber gate frames exactly as they are. * Leave the black hinges as they are. * Fill screw holes, joins and any rough/unfinished areas in the added timber mounting posts/blocks only. * Sand those posts smooth, prime and paint them in a high-quality white lustre / satin finish so they blend neatly with the existing white staircase and look professionally finished. * Care needs to be taken around the acrylic panels, hinges and latch hardware. For the 2 timber Adirondack chairs: * Prepare/lightly sand as required. * Repaint in a high-quality white lustre finish. * Apply an appropriate durable exterior protective finish/sealer. The chairs sit under a covered verandah. Please bring your own sanding equipment, filler, primer, brushes/rollers, drop sheets, PPE/gloves and other tools. Happy to purchase the final paint once we agree on the right product. I’m looking for a smooth, neat finish with no obvious filler marks, drips or heavy brush marks.

The chairs are new and still boxed, with all parts and instructions included. The drawers are an existing unit that has become loose and wobbly — the runners and joints need tightening or refixing so the drawers sit and slide properly. You will need to bring your own tools. Parking is available nearby.
