What does an LCD screen repair service include?

When you request an LCD screen repair specialist on Airtasker, you’ll get an expert who’ll arrive at your doorstep with all the necessary tools for fixing your LCD screen. They can assess and troubleshoot your device, recommend repair options, and as a last resort, tell you when it’s better to replace your broken LCD screen with a new one.

While the details may vary depending on the Tasker you’re working with, here’s what you can expect when you book LCD screen repair service on Airtasker:

Tools and equipment

Your Tasker is in charge of providing tools they may need to fix your LCD screen. That’s why it’s important to be as detailed as possible in your task post. Indicate your TV model and what problems you’ve been experiencing. If you’ve already gone ahead and tried to troubleshoot it yourself, tell prospective Taskers what you know. This step helps them prepare things like an LCD screen opening tool, adhesive, a multimeter, and replacement parts.

LCD screen assessment and troubleshooting

Expect your Tasker to do their assessment of your LCD screen. This step may involve taking your TV off its wall mount or display table and laying it on a soft surface - so it’s best to prepare a large enough area for your Tasker to work in.

LCD screen repair and replacement

Once they’re done with assessment and troubleshooting, the Tasker repairs the damaged parts of your LCD TV screen. If necessary, they’ll recommend replacement parts and get your approval before running to the store to purchase them. Usually, either the LCD, plasma, or glass panel is the one that needs replacing. Sometimes, it may be an internal part, like a circuit board.

You can also ask your Tasker if it would be safer and more affordable to get a new LCD TV instead of repairing it. In some cases, they may even give you tips on how to avoid similar LCD issues in the future. Once you’ve agreed on how to go about solving your LCD screen problem, your Tasker returns the TV to its location, gets their tools, and goes on their way.

If you’ve decided to replace your LCD screen instead of having it repaired, you can use Airtasker to find a removal service for your old appliance. And once you’ve got your new TV, you can get a Tasker to mount it for you.

Fix LCDTV that won't turn on.

$100

Box Hill VIC, Australia

6th Jun 2020

Recently my LCDTV screen has stopped turning on, just has a black screen. The green standby light comes on but there is no picture. Prior to this issue, it would randomly turn off after an hour or so and it progressively turned off after shorter periods of time. I would have to turn it on and off a few times to get it working but now it won't turn on at all. I've attached photos of the model number and a few photos of the TV with the back panel off. Please post a quote with your fee and the cost of replacement parts if required. Also let me know if you'd be willing to fix it at my location, thanks.
