Hi, I need an electrician to come to my house and test my home phone cables to get better speeds with NBN FTTN. I'm currently only getting around 45Mbps, but my provider said I could get up to 100Mbps if the cabling is in top shape. The house is 11 years old, so not ancient by any means. There may be a few "star splits" that were installed when the house was built. If necessary, I'm happy for you to disable these star splits and only allow 1 cable to be connected directly to the NBN box for the best speed possible. I don't have any landline phones in the house, so I only care/need 1 RJ-11 connection for my modem. This is a 2 storey house. There are, I believe, 3 RJ-11 outlets, but I only care about having 1 fully functional, as mentioned. I don't know how many star splits there are, as they were installed when the house was built. This task needs someone with the proper equipment to test resistance/impedance and, once defined, make the right cable adjustments/replacement to have the purest connection to the NBN box as possible.
