Hi! I'm stranded overseas and need some help with a basic task-- posting something in the mail! Its a Dyson hand-held vacuum cleaner (stick vacuum) that needs to be serviced, I have a PRE-PAID postal slip that you would need to print out first. The task involves: picking up the Dyson from my home (my housemate will hand it over to you). My housemate is out of action with a double wrist and back injury so he cant do it himself. Take the Dyson to the post office, and buy suitably sized packing material (box, padding etc). I will reimburse the costs for packing material (so this is ON TOP of the agreed task fee). I will reimburse the costs for packing materials (you will need to provide a copy of the receipt from the post office). I have actually sent the Dyson in the mail before (it has been serviced in the past). I have sent the Dyson back twice before (whilst I was still in Australia). What I did was buy a LARGE BOX, then throw in the Dyson with some PLASTIC BUBBLE WRAP, Also bought a SMALL BOX and put it in the large box to restrict the movement of the Dyson (so it doesnt get thrown around too much). That's all the packing material you need, and its available at every post office. Attach the postal slip (that you printed out) to the large box and take it to the counter to pay for the packing material. Keep a copy of the receipt and attach it, then I wil pay for the task plus the packing material costs. As mentioned, its a pre-paid label, so there will not be any delivery costs. It's a basic task, but since I am overseas I can't do it. There is a post office less than 1km away. You could even walk it there! Its a Dyson V10, stick vacuum, easy to carry by hand.
