17 inch HP Envy has dead motherboard. Have ordered replacement board and when arrives from US need someone to do the component strip and reinstall on new Motherboard with some cleaning of fan and surrounds. Then install reloaded Motherboard into Note book and re-assemble. There are good Howto's on Youtube in the HP Support Chanel to get an ideas of how many components and the difficulties involved. Search #hpcomputerservice. A good example is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQdExUHr95Y. The laptop is already opened but you'll need paste to remount some of the components and isopropyl alcohol to clean and tools ofcourse. I had to open the case and replace the Hard Drive to test and diagnose the problem which seems to be the Nvidia GPU according to the HP Support Team. Let me know if there are other things you would like to know. I think the rebuild would have to be done at our rental in South Yarra so may have to wait till lockdown is over. Regards Peter

The laptop was working fine and last night I tripped over the power cable while it was still plugged in, but no external damage caused to the laptop as simply the power cable came out and since then the laptop won’t turn on and there is no indication if the laptop is charging or not.

HP touchscreen laptop got blue screen, and another laptop that is so so slow. need to get faster and install anti-virus, also to explain CLEARLY and SIMPLY in non-computer language how to stop it slowing down.

I have about 5 laptops I have accumulated over the years a some work, some don’t. I want to throw them out but am worried about people accessing my data on the hard drives. I need someone to destroy the hard drives so I can safely toss the laptops.

I have a Samsung tablet, which charges and once charged, powers on to the welcome screen and then desktop. However laptop does not hold its charge and shuts down after only a few seconds. The job is to: 1) PREFERABLY get the laptop holding its charge again so that it can be used, OR 2) if 1 is not possible, to extract all data from the hard drive and copy to a USB so that we do not lose any data. When making an offer, please state whether you are bidding for part 1 or part 2. We will be more likely to accept a bid if it is for part 1 and price is reasonable. Very flexible on date to complete.
