Looking for an experienced mechanic (ideally familiar with Audi/VW V6 platforms) to fix a front coolant leak on my 2002 Audi A4 B6 (2.4L V6 petrol). The Issue & Symptoms: • There is an active leak dripping directly onto/above the alternator housing at the front of the engine (see attached photos with area highlighted). • When topping up the coolant reservoir, an active drip appears from the thermostat housing area (see attached dripping vs. non-dripping photos). • Pink coolant residue and dripping are visible behind the serpentine belt drive. • Expected fix: Replacing the faulty O-ring / thermostat housing seals. Requirements for the Mechanic: • Put the front carrier into service position as needed, replace the faulty O-ring/thermostat housing seal, refill, and properly bleed the cooling system. • Must come fully equipped with their own standard hand tools • Must be completed onsite at home/driveway in Gosford (car will not be cranked until repaired). What I Provide Onsite: • Fresh pink G12/G13 coolant & distilled water. • I have 2x Service position guide bolts for the front lock carrier. • Serpentine belt removal tool kit. • Any parts if necessary Keen to find a go-to mechanic for ongoing work on this vehicle.
