BMW 335i N55 – Diagnose Misfire & Cooling Issue Looking for someone experienced with BMW N55 engines to diagnose my BMW 335i. The car has been sitting for around 3 months after previously having a cooling/overheating issue but was not driven hot, suspect was a airlock from panel beaters repairing front bumper . I have started it again and it is now running very rough. Current scan shows: * P0304 – Cylinder 4 misfire * Coolant level is still correct * No obvious white smoke from exhaust I would like someone to: * Diagnose cylinder 4 misfire * Test/swap ignition coil and inspect spark plug * Check injector if required * Pressure-test cooling system * Check for any evidence of coolant entering cylinder * Compression/leak-down test if necessary * Diagnose the original overheating/cooling issue Prefer someone experienced with BMW N55 engines who can come to the car and diagnose it before any major repairs are carried out. Engine oil + oil filter change • 5.9L service fill, 5W-30 to WSS-M2C913-B • Needs the 27mm oil filter housing socket and 21mm sump plug socket • New sump plug crush washer • Service interval indicator reset afterwards 2. Coolant drain and refill • OAT coolant only (pink/red), 50/50 with demineralised water • No radiator drain tap on this model — drains via bottom hose • MUST be bled properly. This system is not self-bleeding and an airlock will cook it. Vacuum filler preferred. Happy for you to also do the fuel filter, air filter and cabin filter while you’re in there. I’m supplying all oil, coolant, filters and washers to the correct spec. You bring tools and skills. Mobile mechanic preferred. Weekday or weekend both fine. Experience on Land Rover / Ford-PSA 2.2 diesels is a big plus, tell me what you’ve worked on.
