Car glass repair services include the tasks involved in the process of repairing your damaged car windscreen, side windows and backscreen. Our Tasker usually begins the car window glass repair process by cleaning and drying the damaged window or screen. They will then fill the crack using a range of materials, which may include clear resin, coating or glass filler.

The material used will largely be determined by the size, nature, location and severity of the crack. Once applied and dried, the visual acuity that these glass fillers provide is very similar to glass, so your view is not distorted while not compromising the structural integrity of your car. 

Cleaning and drying damaged window

Before working on your cracked window, windscreen or backscreen, these areas will usually have bits of glass and dust, so Taskers will thoroughly clean the problem spots with a dust blower, rubbing alcohol or acetone. The area to be fixed will then be carefully wiped dry with a microfibre cloth.

Filling The Crack

Once the problem spot or area is sufficiently clean and dried, the Tasker may apply clear resin or glass filler to repair the crack. You have the option of supplying them with your desired glass filling kit, but it is recommended to defer to their choice of equipment and materials. After the crack is filled, the glass resin or other filler should be put in a clean, dry place to avoid contaminating the fix. Curing tape may be used to cover the fix and keep it from oozing from the crack. Depending on the product used, curing time may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
