I’m looking for an experienced concreter to complete approximately 110m²-115m² of concrete work at my property in Greenbank: Exposed aggregate: approximately 60-65m² for the driveway and the area connecting it to the porch Honed concrete: approximately 50m² for the side area and patio I’m hoping to have both areas quoted as one project to reduce costs. Please let me know whether the work can be coordinated together and provide your best price. Budget: around $14000, subject to the scope and inclusions.

there is an existing carport where I want to put the gate. Main things I want to do is keep the dogs in and block their view of the street but also keep the back yard accessible so we can bring things through it when needed. We have a temp fence and screen up at the moment which is easy to remove, the carport is aluminium 65mm square posts embedded in the slab. I was debating whether I can use the existing carport to support one gate and mount a post on the cement for the other. Have attached a pic of the carport and the rough plan I had for the gate that opens into the yard.

Looking for an experienced concrete grinding contractor to diamond-grind my existing driveway and adjoining side concrete area. My recently completed carport already has a smooth, matte salt-and-pepper diamond-ground finish, with fine aggregate exposed flush with the concrete. I want the driveway and side area to match this finish as closely as possible. Areas requiring grinding: Main driveway: approximately 25 m² Side concrete area: approximately 10.5 m² Total: approximately 35.5 m² Both areas currently have a broom-finished concrete surface. The driveway has a slight slope and is exposed to rain, so maintaining suitable wet slip resistance is important. Remove agapanthus plants that are along both sides of driveway. Supplied photo is an old photo from a few years back (they are not so green) Some can be pulled up by hand - it’s been dry and some are super easy to pull up, others may need shovel. Pulled out agapanthus can be put in my trailer which is near the driveway. Not getting to this job as I have limited time for the yard work. Open negotiation on payment.

We’ve got electric swinging driveway gates (Centsys brand). They’ve stopped working. Had a sparky out and he said it’s likely the gate motor as there’s no issues with power to it. Happy to fix or replace and not fussed on branding, as long as it works.

I want to install these solar powered cats eyes. One went in easy (new cement) I tried to install it into the more established cement driveway and I only get like 20mm down before it just stops. I need better equipment. Can someone help me out?

We need a small reinforced concrete slab constructed beside our driveway, against the house/boundary fence. The finished slab needs to be approximately 1100mm × 450mm × 100mm thick and completely level/flat, as it will be used as a base for gas bottles. Work required: * Saw-cut and remove a small section of the existing concrete driveway to create sufficient space for the slab. * Existing driveway is approximately 100mm thick. * Approximate saw cuts required: * 1100mm long * 120mm long * Remove and dispose of all cut concrete/rubble. * Excavate/prepare the area as required and provide a suitable compacted base. * Form up the slab. The house/boundary side can form two edges of the area, with formwork required to the remaining exposed edges as appropriate. * Install steel mesh reinforcement, adequately supported within the slab. * Pour a 1100mm × 450mm × 100mm reinforced concrete slab. * Slab must be perfectly level, despite the adjoining driveway being on a fairly steep gradient. * The new slab must not follow the slope of the driveway or simply be poured onto/joined to the sloping driveway. * Neat finished edges and surface. * Remove all waste and leave the area tidy. Access is straightforward from the driveway. I’ve attached photos showing the location and the section of driveway that needs to be cut. Please quote including labour, concrete, reinforcing mesh, formwork/base materials, concrete saw cutting and removal/disposal of the old concrete. Please also let me know if you have experience with small reinforced concrete slabs and whether you have your own concrete saw/equipment.

Just need some driveway lights installed please. 2x holes (on each light) which need to be screwed into driveway. Very easy job. Just don’t have the masonry drill bits. Total of 4 lights. Already have screws and lugs.

Looking for someone reliable this afternoon to help move approx. 3 cubic metres of rocks/gravel from the driveway to the backyard. Access is straightforward, but the material will need to be moved by wheelbarrow or similar. Happy for you to use your own equipment if you have it (wheelbarrow, shovel etc.), otherwise I can provide basic tools. Would suit someone reasonably fit as it’s manual work, but it’s a simple job and can be knocked over in a couple of hours. Offering $150 for the job.
