We purchased a house and the downstairs windows are very weird. Looks to me like they have been put in incorrectly the top section instead of opening sideways now opens down but it has been pop riveted shut. I would like to see if there’s any way to put balances and some sort of spring sash in the tracks just like the old windows to make them open and close again. I have uploaded some pictures. The house exterior needs to be properly washed with suitable equipment for doing so(high pressure hose and extended brushes etc). Not just hosed. It is a small, two bedroom house but is high set.
