We're looking for 1-2 people with waiting experience to assist with managing catered food at a wedding. Help is needed to set up the food, and serve the food of guests - up to 50 people and general help making sure guests are happy. 8 hours of work. Summary of tasks: 1. Guest Greeter & Direction Assistant: Welcome guests as they arrive and direct them to seating or designated areas. Help manage the flow of guests, particularly as they move from the arrival area into the reception space. 2. Food Service & Beverage Station Attendant: Serve food during the reception, ensuring that meals are delivered promptly to guests. Monitor and refill beverage stations, ensuring drinks are available throughout the event. Assist with any bar service or specialty drink stations, if applicable. 3. Table Support & Maintenance: Clear used plates, glasses, and utensils during meal service and as guests finish dining. Reset tables as needed between courses or after prolonged mingling sessions to maintain a neat presentation. 4. Special Requests & On-Call Assistance: Be available to handle any special service requests that arise during the event (e.g., extra refreshments for guests, assisting elderly guests, or helping with the logistics of serving desserts). Act as a liaison between the wedding organizers and the kitchen/serving areas to ensure that any adjustments are communicated promptly. 5. Post-Service Wrap-Up: Assist with minor cleanup tasks as the event winds down, ensuring that the venue is left in proper order according to the wedding planner’s and venue’s guidelines.

We need 2 people to assist us in hosting an event at our house. It is a Greek style BBQ christening with 90 guests (adults and children). Staff are needed from 1:00pm-5:00pm. We mainly need help with bringing the entrees out to the tables; helping set up the buffet of food and later the tea/coffee/desserts. We also need help with packing up the food and storing it in the fridges; and keeping the tables tidy throughout the event (collecting cutlery and disposing of the rubbish). Basically I need support to host the food/drinks aspect of this event, as it is at our house and I don't want my guests constantly coming into my kitchen and driving me bananas.
