I have a 74m² front yard lawn that needs urgent cosmetic repair ahead of an event on December 6. The current grass is Buffalo (Sir Walter) and is thinned out/bare in high-traffic corner areas. I have had some new lawn laid at the end of last year. We got Kikuyu. The grass is nice and green as long as I leave it long. I can only use the highest 2 settings on my lawn mower - otherwise it looks dead. I'd really like to be able to cut it shorter? From what I have read online it should be able to be cut a lot shorter. I'd say it's over 100mm tall. We have recently had grubs but we have got rid of those I think and don't believe that is why I can't cut the grass shorter without it looking dead. It's quite moist under the top and often grows mushrooms. I posted this ad 4 months ago and was told to wait until this time of year to this job.
