Hi, we’re a young couple getting married on Sunday 3 May and looking for a decorations coordinator to help us on the day. We’re posting this on Airtasker because I don’t want my mum or my best friend doing all the work – I really want them to enjoy the day with us. We’re having a small, budget‑friendly wedding of about 70 guests. Our reception room at Panorama House (Pacific Room) is on the smaller side, and most of our decorations are DIY – I made the fake florals and a lot of the details myself. We are on a tight budget, but we’re very happy to offer a three‑course sit‑down meal and invite you as a guest to our wedding as part of the payment. The night before, at our rehearsal, my bridal party and family will fully set up all of the ceremony decorations, so there is no setup needed for the ceremony on the day. What we need is help purely with pack down and resetting things at the reception. What we need help with on the day: - After our ceremony on 3 May: pack down all ceremony decorations (candles, candle holders, fake florals, ribbons from the pews, signs, little bits and our DIYed cross – with some help from a few family members for any heavier bits if needed). - Transport these items to Panorama House and arrive by about 4:00 pm to set them up there. - At Panorama House: set up the reception tables using the DIY fake florals I’ve made, repurpose the ceremony florals onto acrylic stands, place table numbers and signs, and put out the candles and candle, signs and making sure our Photo Booth people set up all good so everything looks neat and cohesive. - At the end of the night (we finish at 10:30 pm): pack down all decorations from the reception and drop them back to one of our family homes (address provided on the day).

We need a hospitality person to work from 3pm till 9pm. Your tasks will include: - Serving drinks and refilling. - Help serve nibbles - Keep entertaining area clean and tidy - Washing glasses (by dishwasher) - Putting empty bottles away in bins - Collecting all glasses and bottles at the end of night and cleaning up. You need to be discreet, mature, sensible, trustworthy, energetic, over 18 years old and well presented. You will be required to provide a drivers licence and current address for security reasons. Hospitality experience preferred.
