2015 Sony Tv updating and controller set up

2015 Sony Tv needs updating (no controller) and help setting up the universal controller. I have bought three new controllers but realise the tv needs updating for the universal controllers to work. I can’t seem to update without a controller. Also, the channels need tuning or set up. Tv works fine but would love to be able to use the controllers instead of manually pressing the buttons on the tv. Embarrassingly we have been doing this for a couple of years. - Due date: Flexible any day or time
