Fix for a leaking shower head

My shower head has disonnected from the wall and i'm unsure how to reattach it..

I’ve been gifted a shiny new filtered shower head (the Afina Filtered Shower Head, for reference — I’ve included a photo). Very excited to use it… except my current setup is an ancient brass shower system, and sadly, the new head won’t fit. So here’s what I’m looking for: Someone who can replace my entire current shower system with something that will allow me to use this new head. I don’t know anything about plumbing, fittings, or what’s involved (humble non-plumber here), so I’m hoping for guidance on the simplest, most cost-effective way to make this work. We plan to fully renovate in a few years — so I’m not after high-end finishes or a luxury install. Just functional, tidy, and good enough to get me through until the reno. Timing: Flexible on when this gets done, but sooner is better (especially as I have small children who make life noisy and chaotic). I have an old standard shower head which needs to be replaced. Task is to supply (or pickup from Bunnings) a new showerhead and replace the old one (screw off and screw on). I’m looking to get my showerhead replaced in my ensuite (and potentially also a 2nd bathroom) to provide extra height (current shower head is installed ~1.75m from the floor and hoping to get one that is at least 20cm above that).
