I have a 2006 Porsche Cayenne 4.5L V8, approx. 187,600km, already inspected by a Porsche/European specialist. I have a written diagnosis and repair quote of around $8,000 and am looking for an experienced Porsche/VW/Audi mechanic who can provide a more economical but reliable repair. Problems identified: Significant engine oil leak Oil leaking around both rocker/valve covers Oil present in coolant reservoir Suspected oil filter housing and/or oil cooler allowing oil and coolant to mix Cooling system requires thorough flushing Work may include: Inspect rocker covers and determine if complete covers or just gaskets/seals are required Test oil cooler and oil filter housing Replace failed components, seals and O-rings Replace coolant reservoir/cap if required Thoroughly flush cooling system Refill/bleed coolant Engine oil/filter change Degrease engine and check for further leaks Relevant Porsche part numbers: RHS rocker cover: 94810513107 LHS rocker cover: 94810513207 Oil filter housing: 94810727005 Oil cooler: 94810727603 I prefer quality OEM/OE-equivalent parts such as Elring, Mahle or Nissens rather than cheap unbranded parts. I particularly want confirmation that the complete rocker covers, oil cooler and oil filter housing actually require replacement rather than replacing parts unnecessarily. I can get diagnostics from RACQ on Sunday but thinking it’s starter motor just want price to do it it’s a 2005 Porsche Cayenne s I’m not after original Porsche parts can be Bosch or oem after a proper certified mechanic thankyou
