I'm looking for an experienced motorcycle mechanic to help complete the restoration of my 1991 Honda CBR250RR MC22 in Canberra. I already have most of the parts. I'm looking for someone to fit them and carry out the remaining mechanical work. Work includes: Fit rear shock Install new chain and sprockets Fit spark plugs Install clutch and/or brake perch and controls Fit handlebars/clip-ons if required Install front mudguard (including correct fender mounting bolts/spacers) Check and correctly torque all fasteners Bleed front and rear brakes Replace engine oil and filter Replace coolant General inspection of bearings, seals and suspension Check the bike over before it is roadworthy Parts I already have include: Vandemon exhaust New tyres New chain and sprockets Spark plugs Brake levers/perches Various mounting hardware and restoration parts Looking for someone with experience working on older Japanese sports bikes (Honda MC22, CBR250RR, FZR250, ZXR250, etc.). Please let me know your experience, where the work would be completed, and an estimate of labour costs. I'm after quality workmanship rather than the cheapest quote. The bike is being restored to a high standard.
