​I need an experienced mechanic or automotive locksmith to open the bonnet of my 2011 Mazda CX-7 and install a replacement release cable. ​The Problem: The bonnet release cable has snapped, and the bonnet is currently stuck in the closed position. I cannot access the engine bay. ​What Needs to be Done: ​Emergency Opening: Safely pop the bonnet latch while it is stuck closed. (Note: Previously, this was done using two inflatable air wedges/cushions to create a gap and a long-reach bent tool to trigger the latch). ​Cable Replacement: Remove the broken cable/handle and install the new unit.
