I’m looking for a mobile automotive locksmith to diagnose or repair the ignition on my 2000 Honda Prelude. Earlier today the steering wheel locked while the car was parked. I was able to free the steering lock, but now the ignition key will not turn properly. The key inserts normally, but it will only move slightly with a couple of clicks if I wiggle it and will not turn far enough to reach the ON position. No dashboard lights come on and the car will not start. The battery is working and the steering wheel is now free. The ignition barrel was replaced many years ago after someone attempted to steal the car, so I’m unsure if the cylinder, ignition switch, or internal linkage has worn out. Unfortunately I do not have a spare key. The car is currently parked and cannot be started, so I’m looking for someone who can attend on-site and ideally:• diagnose the ignition issue• cut a new key if needed• repair or replace the ignition cylinder if required If you have experience with Honda ignitions or automotive locksmith work, please let me know availability and approximate cost. Hi, I need help with two issues on my 2006 Toyota Camry: 1. The driver door lock that works with the key doesn’t lock properly in cold weather. When I turn the key to lock, the car beeps twice but doesn’t lock right away. I have to turn the key several times before it locks. 2. The driver side window rolls down normally but won’t roll up smoothly. When trying to close it, the window moves a few centimeters, then stops. After waiting a few minutes, it moves a bit more. French china cabinet … I’m guessing 50 years old ,,, with two doors and two locks. One lock is not functioning, locked tight and will not turn at all. The second lock turns but is sticky. If you know something about how to fix locks I would be pleased to have your assistance.
