I need someone to remove my existing mortise-style multipoint lock and install a new smart fingerprint lock (which I will supply). Details: My current lock is a mortise-style multipoint lock with both a latch and a deadbolt, recessed into the door. I am replacing it with a simple latch-only smart lock — no deadbolt, no multipoint mechanism. Task includes: Remove the existing mortise lock Do proper carpentry work to fill and finish the hollow section left in the door edge Install the new latch-only smart lock cleanly Ensure the lock is installed securely and operates properly (hardware installation only – no app setup required) Important: The new lock is smaller than the original, so carpentry work is essential to ensure the door edge is cleanly patched and looks professionally finished Labour only — I will supply the smart lock: Lemaar Black Rectangle Latch Smart Lock (which you can find from bunnings) Looking for someone with experience in both lock installation and carpentry repair for doors.
