extend gate deadbolt so it properly engages the strike plate I need a handyman to fix the locking mechanism on my gate. The deadbolt (sliding bolt) from the lock does not extend far enough to properly reach and engage the strike plate/receiver on the frame. Scope of work: Inspect the existing surface-mounted gate deadbolt. Replace the bolt mechanism or install a longer throw deadbolt so the bolt extends far enough to fully engage the strike plate. Ensure the lock aligns correctly with the receiver/keeper and operates smoothly. Adjust or replace the strike plate if needed to ensure a secure lock. The goal is for the deadbolt to extend further across the gap and securely latch into the receiver on the opposite side.

Need lock replaced. Currently in the locked position and unable to release. Have broken key (removed) and have attempted to drill through both sides of mechanism (no experience in lock smithing) need help!

I have a spare door handle that can be locked and comes with a key that's lying around, but I have no idea how to install it! I don't need a fancy door knob, just something cheap, accessible and reliable.
