Very easy to deal with and great at the job!

Put together a wardrobe

$50

Very friendly. The house looked 10 times better but it was the type of rushed clean organize where a lot of stuff was overlooked and just stuffed in shelves or put into storage and couldnt find anything or had to clean organize it myself. Asked to organize toy room wadrobe and spent 45 min before work looking for socks and still never found them had to go buy new ones. Just stuffed a bunch of toys in bags and on top of each other. Missed cleaning shower mirrors under stuff in kitchen counters. Friendly and good enough job definitely not 5 star.

What does a housekeeping service include?

Housekeeping services can include one-off services or regular domestic tasks (daily, weekly, or fortnightly), from cleaning and cooking to even home maintenance. Your housekeeper will bring along all the products and equipment they need to clean and maintain your home - all you need to do is tell them what you need done. Here’s how they can help:

Cleaning

The most common housekeeping service involves cleaning. This could include general cleaning, like vacuumingmoppingdusting, and bathroom cleaning. Or it might include detail cleaning tasks like couchcurtainfloorfridge, and rug cleaning. Depending on the number of tasks you’d like your housekeeper to complete, they may clean for just an hour, or up to the entire day. Your housekeeper will discuss a time that’s convenient for you, the tasks you need done, and the timeframe it should take to complete these tasks. If needed, they can bring their own cleaning supplies, like a vacuum cleaner and feather duster.

Organising and tidying

Many housekeepers offer professional organising services, where they help organise and tidy all areas of your home. This includes desks, filing cabinets, stationery, linen, wardrobes, toys, kitchen cupboards, garage interiors, and more. They’ll pull out all the items, organise them by category, and help you choose what you should keep, donate, or bin. They’ll also help by recommending suitable storage solutions to help you keep your home tidy for longer.

Cooking

Some housekeepers are available to help with cooking in your home. They might prepare a few snacks, or help prep several meals ahead of time so you don’t have to worry about cooking. Your housekeeper will present menu and recipe options for you to choose from and use your ingredient and kitchen supplies to cook everything in your kitchen. Once they’re done, they’ll store the freshly cooked food (with heating instructions) and clean up any mess.

Laundry

Washing and ironing starting to pile up? Housekeepers can help by putting on loads of washing, hanging clothes, loading the dryer, folding washing, ironing, and even putting it away. They’ll check the care labels to ensure appropriate washing/drying methods are used before they start the process. With some extra help, you’ll be all caught up on the laundry in no time.

Home maintenance

Many housekeepers are skilled in basic household maintenance tasks. But if they’re unable to do the job themselves, they’ll help organise and oversee skilled contractors who can help do repairs and maintenance in and around your home.

Folding clothes/ regular housework

$80

Fig Tree Pocket QLD, Australia

24th Jan 2024

We are a home of 2 busy professionals, 3 kids and lots going on. We are looking to find a person who can come in and do the things we don’t have time for. Throwing a load of washing on, quick clean of the main areas in the house, fold previous washing and put into relevant rooms (ironing of some items would be good but not required). 2-3 hours max, get in and out and just do the best in that time. It’s doesn’t need to be a deep clean as we get that done every two weeks, but just keeping the place neat and moving things that aren’t where they should be. More organisation with basic cleaning. The person needs to have an eye for detail (eg just notice that there is a shoe under the couch that needs to go on the shoe rack, these clothes belong to an adult so belong in the upstairs room). - Due date: Needs to be done on Thursday, 25 January 2024

House management assistance

Please provide quote for an initial three hour session, this is likely to become regular for the right person. Initial session will probably include a little bit of cleaning and organising and maybe some food prep? This will be largely up to you as I am really seeking someone who is self driven and can work out what needs to be done in the home. Looking for someone to help keep things moving around the house including bits of food prep, cleaning, gardening, picking up groceries when ordered, keeping track of what is needed in the home, keeping the home organised. Essentially whatever needs to be done to keep the house looking good and functioning :) We have a two year old and both work full time from home. Our two year old is in daycare. We are really very relaxed people and happy to chat. Very happy to have a chat - Due date: Flexible

Joshua did a fantastic job at our place and our garden looks so much better!

Weekly 3hr cleaner/helper

$90

Chelmer QLD, Australia

9th Jan 2024

Hi, We’re a young family with a 3bed/2bth house looking for someone to help us weekly on a Monday or Tuesday for approximately 3hrs (during school hours). We are looking for someone flexible as the tasks may change sometimes from week to week and the idea is to spend your 3hrs doing the tasks that are the most useful that week (as if it was your house). It might mean skipping the bathrooms for a week and cleaning some windows instead, or skipping the kitchen if it’s already clean, to put a load of washing on. Or maybe ignoring all the cleaning for a week if the fridge and pantry need to be sorted/cleaned that week. Ideally you would have experience in cleaning but that’s not necessary. It might suit a well organised parent who is looking for a few hours of work while the kids are at school. We have a dog so this work wouldn’t suit someone who is scared large dogs. Your airtasker quote is for the first week of work, which will also allow us to meet you, and then we are expecting to pay approx $30/hr thereafter. We look forward to hearing from you. - Due date: Flexible

Great airtasker, easy to deal with, did a great job cleaning my house, will use again!

Garden Tidying and Yard Work

$300

Pullenvale QLD, Australia

4th Sep 2023

I need help to clean and tidy up the exterior areas of a house I just bought. This is not skilled work. It's just leaf blowing, weeding, sweeping, high pressure cleaning, dusting, garden watering, etc. It is suitable for a male or female. This will be performed either with me or with me nearby to supervise/direct the work. Please advise how many hours of work you will perform for the budget price I have listed. If you're a good worker and reliable we can extend the task for longer periods. There is PLENTY of work to be done for the right person! All equipment will be supplied by me. The date is flexible however, I would prefer the work to be performed on Saturday and/or Sunday this weekend. To start with and then if we extend your engagement days/time can be negotiated. - Due date: Flexible

Arrived on time, did great job of garden.

Decluttering and Downsizing

$78

Initial hourly rate including Airtasker fee. I’d need multiple sessions so it would be great to discuss your rate and payment type after the first appointment. - Due date: Flexible

Justine was fantastic. She helped me bring order to the chaos of decluttering, downsizing, and packing things up very efficiently and most importantly very kindly. Highly recommended!
