Managed to fix one side using cable ties chipping away broken plastic on metal plate connecting the cables to the latch. Haven’t managed to get the other side down.

Need repairs done as will only go into/out of gear when engine is off, but will not if engine is on. When engine is on the clutch feels spongy and not much resistance when pressed. Car recently had the engine mounts repaired, and the clutch fluid reservoir became empty 1 week later (has been refilled but we are worried there is air inside system). Car idles well otherwise.
