Ongoing Work We are looking for an experienced dressmaker to construct Irish dancing dresses. These are highly detailed performance costumes, so strong sewing skills, attention to detail, and experience with fitted bodices and structured skirts is essential. Ideally, you would be capable of creating patterns from measurements (princess bodice or embroidery bodice styles), however this is not compulsory. Guidance, templates and support will be provided for the first couple of dresses to ensure you are confident with our expectations and finish. Each dress will include: Fitted bodice Structured skirt Lining All embroidery will be completed prior and materials supplied. This is ideally an ongoing arrangement for the right person. As we expand, we are expecting to be creating 30+ dresses per year. I need to make dresses as listed below: 1. 4 Jackets - Size 18 2. 2 Tops - Size 16 3. 1 Skirt - Size 16 4. 1 Pant - Size 16 Also Alteration (length shortening) is required for 1 pant. I will supply Pattern, fabric and accessories. The specified price is making cost only. Dresses will need a bit of custom measurement in addition to the measurement specified in the pattern. For example length of the dresses etc. The dressmaker will need to specify how many meters of fabric will be required and what sort of fabric will be suitable. We are looking for an experienced Seamstress / Dressmaker for a short-term, project-based role to cut, sew, and finish garments in-house for an upcoming product.

I need the service of a dressmaker or a tailor having a wide experience in making custom dresses inclusive wedding gowns and dresses.An idea of male dresses is fine as well.This task is just to meet up and discuss for three hours if possible .The purpose is to have a guide into how to set up a custom dressmaking online platform ,putting into consideration the poster is a novice.So this task is not a sewing task.It is about getting informations on what would be on the websites,such as the fabric lists,the charges,the designs and how one can get the project started and running.And if the tasker is interested in collaboration,that can be considered as well.This is for two to three hours discussion max or less if all infos can be gotten in the littlest time.Thanks

I have a dress that I absolutely love the entire back, and the colour, but the front of the top part is not very flattering for me. I tried to take it to my usual alterations lady but she said (and I agree) this job is going more into custom dress-making territory. As such I am looking for a Sydney-based dress-maker / seamstress who would like to take on this challenge. I have some ideas but am not fixed on what I’d like the front to look like, I am really happy to be flexible and guided by your experience.
