I have purchased an aftermarket steering wheel for 2013 FJ cruiser. But I can't get the buttons to work or the illumination to light up. I have depinned the pins on the steering wheel side of the harness (as shown in picture). I just need someone with some vehicle electrical know how to identify what each pin does ( i.e volume up/down, cruiser control, mode button) and then match them to the corresponding pins on the clock spring.

After quote for labour to replace 03 RAV4 steering wheel, will have replacement wheel.

I’ve got a Mewant leather steering wheel cover to go on my 06 Subaru Forester. It sews on, so you’d have to have done it before. I can’t remove the wheel, so it would have to be done in the car (can be done). I’ve started it, but nothing that can’t be undone if necessary, it’s just my eyesight & back don’t want to co-operate! I have a 2007 BMW 335i and recently installed a new steering wheel. However, the steering wheel stopped working suddenly, even though it was fine until about a month ago. I’ve installed a 2016 Mazda 3 steering wheel into my 2014 Mazda 3 (2.0L petrol, Australia model). Steering wheel fits fine, and most buttons work (audio/phone), but cruise control does not activate. I believe the button wiring or signal is not compatible between the two year models. I need someone with experience in car electronics or Mazda wiring to help do one of the following: – Check cruise control signal wiring from the steering wheel – Possibly adapt the button module wiring to match the 2014 system – Confirm if clock spring or button signals are mismatched I have 2016 model airbag ready to be installed with newer steering wheel.
