Repairing Deep Scratches

High-grit sandpaper will be used to sand off the paint on and around the scratch, but only until reaching the clear coat. If the scratch goes deeper, more sanding is done. After the sanding is completed, the area is rinsed with water and wiped dry with a non-abrasive microfibre cloth.

To prepare the area for repainting, your Tasker may mask off the unaffected areas close to the scratch. A thin layer of primer will be applied and left to dry. The scratch will likely be touched up by dabbing (not brushing) new paint on it with a toothpick or matchstick, then finally left to dry.
