Hi! I’m looking for a DIY-er who likes working on cars. I need to replace the radiator on my 2016 Subaru Impreza. I can’t afford a mechanic and am a single mum and really need my car (especially because it’s school holidays). So I’m going to try and change it myself! Hoping a fellow DIY enthusiast who loves working on cars can give me a hand. Would be amazing if you have tools you could bring (Eg car jack and stands,socket and wrench set etc). I don’t mind if you haven’t changed a radiator before - there are a lot of videos we can follow on YouTube. Would love help to do this today. It sounds like a job that will take a couple of hours (including bleeding the coolant) - if you can’t stay that long that’s ok, helping me get well under way is fine (at least an hour of your time would be appreciated). My car is in my garage in Templestowe. That’s where we’ll work on it. I’m buying a replacement radiator now and already have a new radiator cap and coolant. Initially I’d hoped it was just the cap that needed replacing but when I put the new one on, the pressure showed a small leak in the top of the radiator behind the cap. Need new oil cooler and new radiator installed. # New radiator and oil cooler (& seals) have been ordered so will be supplied, along with coolant.
