Hi! I’m looking for a DIY-er who likes working on cars. I need to replace the radiator on my 2016 Subaru Impreza. I can’t afford a mechanic and am a single mum and really need my car (especially because it’s school holidays). So I’m going to try and change it myself! Hoping a fellow DIY enthusiast who loves working on cars can give me a hand. Would be amazing if you have tools you could bring (Eg car jack and stands,socket and wrench set etc). I don’t mind if you haven’t changed a radiator before - there are a lot of videos we can follow on YouTube. Would love help to do this today. It sounds like a job that will take a couple of hours (including bleeding the coolant) - if you can’t stay that long that’s ok, helping me get well under way is fine (at least an hour of your time would be appreciated). My car is in my garage in Templestowe. That’s where we’ll work on it. I’m buying a replacement radiator now and already have a new radiator cap and coolant. Initially I’d hoped it was just the cap that needed replacing but when I put the new one on, the pressure showed a small leak in the top of the radiator behind the cap. Need a radiator connector replaced for 2013 BMW F30 320D at my home. I have sourced parts myself from ASV Euro Parts for $91 (way over quoted already by mechanic shops at $191). You will need to remove intake manifold. I've already removed most of the electrical components and freed up the area to slide out the manifold. I just have a few little electrical sensors attached to the actuall manifold that need disconnecting, that I'm finding tricky to remove. Once you've removed them, it's a matter of sliding it out, removing the 3 bolts attaching the hose connector to the engine, replace it, then slip it back in. I bought a hose but I believe it's only the connector causing the issue. 1 hour job max for you. I'll replace all the components I've already removed. Will do coolant flush/replacement myself. Will also need intake manifold, rear brakes and front shocks all replaced in very near future. Extra $ straight to you! Please don't waste my time indicating.youll take the job, at a designated day/time, then message me the night before to try and get me to increase the fee.
