Replacing Upper Radiator Hose

$55

I was not around for the repair but my husband was and he gave glowing feedback and said Murray was very friendly and knowledgeable. Murray did a bit more than I asked and didn’t ask for anything extra which I am very grateful for. And gave advice about what else is needed for the car but without trying to upsell his service to get more. Sounded like a genuine interaction according to my husband. Definitely think we have found our mechanic now. Highly recommend!

How long a car radiator repair service takes depends on the gravity of your radiator problem. In general, car radiator repairs may take a few hours.
Once you notice your engine showing signs of overheating, Airtasker can help you find a nearby repair specialist that can properly inspect and repair your radiator and cooling system. What do car radiator repair services include?

The radiator is responsible for regulating the engine temperature to prevent overheating. Once the engine overheats, it will need replacing, which can be a very costly process. If you often experience your car overheating under normal driving conditions, it's a good sign that you need a repair or replacement radiator. Radiator repair services include checking and diagnosing the issue, repairing or replacing your defective radiator, and testing the newly installed one to ensure it's functioning correctly.

Car Radiator Checks

A qualified technician will check your radiator before starting any repair job. Aside from an overheating engine, other common signs of a bad radiator can be fluid leaks, shifting issues, and coolant discolouration. As soon as your Tasker determines what's wrong, the repair work starts. Regardless of your car's model and age, you can rest assured that your Tasker has the knowledge and expertise to evaluate your radiator and know what service or repair it might need.

Car Radiator Repairs

This step involves several different processes depending on your car's diagnosis. These include radiator leak repair, flushing old radiator coolant, sealing holes and cracks, and replacing completely damaged radiators. Since a well-maintained cooling system is vital to your car's performance, other defective components such as the thermostat, water pump and radiator hoses can also be repaired and replaced. Whatever your repair needs are, count on your Tasker to get it done as swiftly as possible while ensuring safety and quality.

Car Radiator Tests

After performing the necessary repairs on your radiator, your technician will test drive your car to ensure that it maintains the ideal temperature. They will also retest some parts in your radiator system if the pressure or temperature rating gets too high even after installing a new one. On the other hand, if your engine retains its temperature at a reasonable level, it suggests a successful repair work.

A radiator flush (or coolant flush) Golf 2012 1.4L 118 TSI

$90

Lidcombe, New South Wales

23rd May 2026

AI Overview ( i have coolant and demineralised water ) A radiator flush (or coolant flush) clears out built-up rust, scale, and debris from your vehicle's cooling system. NeededRadiator Flush Additive: Distilled Water: Essential for flushing without leaving mineral deposits. Drain Pan: To safely catch old fluid.Basic Tools: Screwdriver or socket set (if your radiator drain valve requires it) and pliers. Safety Gear: Gloves and eye protection.Step-by-Step Flushing ProcessDrain the Old Coolant: Ensure the engine is completely cold to avoid burns from the pressurized system. Place the drain pan underneath the radiator. Locate the drain plug (petcock) at the bottom corner and unscrew it to empty the fluid. Add Flush & Water: Once drained, close the valve. Pour in the chemical flush product, and fill the rest of the radiator with distilled water. Replace the radiator cap. Circulate the Cleaner: Turn your car's heater and fan to the maximum "hot" setting. Start the engine and let it idle for 10–15 minutes to allow the flush to circulate and clean the system. Drain and Flush Again: Turn the engine off and let it cool. Drain the mixture out into the pan. Refill the system with plain distilled water, run the engine for another 10 minutes with the heater on, and drain it again. Repeat this until the drained water runs clear.Refill with New Coolant: Close the petcock tightly. Refill the radiator with the manufacturer-recommended coolant (if using a concentrate, mix it appropriately with water, as some leftover water will remain in the engine block). Bleed Air from the System: Leave the radiator cap off and run the engine with the heater on for 10 minutes. As the thermostat opens and the fluid circulates, trapped air will bubble out. Top off the radiator and the coolant overflow reservoir to the "cold" line with your coolant mix, then secure the cap. Help me with my radiator please

$20

Werribee VIC 3030, Australia

18th Apr 2026

I had previously post a task for someone to remove and replace my radiator. Had a few interests to do it but either cancelled on me or never showed up. So I decided that I'd try doing it myself whilst watching YouTube. I have managed to remove the front end etc, but I'm stuck with one clip to get the actual radiator out and I would really appreciate if someone could please help me with that, so I can carry on and get my car back on the road please. You don't have to do anything if you don't want to, I'm happy to follow instructions but it's really frustrating this one part. If anyone that's mechanically minded or knows what to do could please come to mine and direct me or whatever to get this done, I'd be very much appreciative. Please only serious people. Thank you

Connor is a lifesaver. He managed to help rectify the big issue I had with the repair my car need s..Top notch bloke
