Details I’m looking at buying a 2008 Mitsubishi Rosa converted to a camper and want a mechanic to check it over properly before I commit. It’s a manual diesel with about 190,000 km, being sold privately. I’m after a mobile mechanic, ideally with truck, bus or light commercial diesel experience, to go to the seller in Wanneroo tomorrow and do a full pre-purchase inspection: Engine: cold start, smoke, leaks, blow-by, oil and coolant condition, belts and hoses, injectors and turbo if fitted Gearbox, clutch, tailshaft, diff and drive line Brakes, suspension, steering, wheel bearings and tyres (including age) Chassis and underbody rust, especially where the camper conversion is mounted Exhaust, radiator and cooling system Battery, alternator and starter Warning lights and fault codes (scan if possible) Road test Tow bar condition (fitted but untested) A short written report with photos would be great, covering anything urgent, anything due soon, and rough costs. A quick call afterwards to talk it through as well. Anything else you think I should know before buying
