The old engine has already been removed due to a blown head gasket, and many engine bay parts have already been removed for access/install of the replacement engine. Main wiring loom and major electrical components are still intact in the vehicle. I already have most parts/components supplied for the job, including engine bay parts and replacement components. Some bolts/clips/small hardware may be missing but I’m happy to order parts during the build if needed. I can also supply all fluids beforehand (oil, coolant, transmission fluid etc) to help keep costs down. The air-conditioning system has been disconnected/unplugged during teardown and some components removed for access, so it will likely need to be properly reassembled, vacuum tested and regassed once completed. Doesn’t necessarily need to be a licensed mechanic — just someone experienced and comfortable working on diesel engines, engine installs and troubleshooting. Job may involve: - Installing replacement engine - Reconnecting cooling, fuel and intake systems - Refitting engine bay components/accessories - Reconnecting existing wiring loom/electricals - Reassembling disconnected A/C components - Vacuum test and regas A/C system - Fluids, startup and testing - Diagnosing any issues preventing startup/running Job likely starting in around 1 month. While topping up engine oil , I added more oil than required. As shown in picture. So it's well above the maximum mark. Although I don't see any immediate problem, I would like to remove excess oil and just keep to the mark. I don't require change of Engine oil or any other services...just extract excess oil. I need a qualified and extremely competent mechanic that is familiar with vdj engine to locate mystery fuel leak. Leak can be seen coming out the bottom and sides of bell housing and seen slightly from top but disappears the valley. Fuel cooler and fuel cooler hoses have previously been replaced as well as a couple other houses and banjo washers. If Wayne is available to come look still that would be great thanks
