Setup: I have a Kia Sportage 2017 2.4L at ~140K where the engine exhibits excessive oil usage. This is a known problem for these GDI models, where the oil ring get stuck due to carbon deposits. What do you need to do: You need to soak the pistons trying to dissolve the carbon deposits. You understand what the above means and either have done it before or happy to try to do it. For example: you need to understand how to turn the engine by hand and what tools and setup this will require. I understand that this procedure: 1) Takes time (say, 24 hours or 2 to 3 days) 2) Is not guaranteed Therefore, I can come to you or you can come to me - and we understand that there is some chance involved in the procedure. Im happy to pay a reasonable hourly rate or a fixed sum depending on your expertise and our arrangement, I do not require you to be a mechanic, own a shop, etc. If you are a DIYer, with a garage, who knows how a modern car works and how to do the above let's talk.

Hi Guys I have a Kia Sportage 2006 model. It's basically my workhorse. Last weekend I topped up all of the fluids and mistakenly overfilled the engine oil. I took it for a run, and it didn't take long for it to start smoking. I had to get it towed back to home and It's been sitting out the front on the street for a week... While I've been waiting for the weather to clear. So is it possible to get a quote on draining the oil and topping it back up, so that I can make it to Froggies to Degrease it myself. I might need 1 litre of top up oil as well because I haven't been able to get out. I am home both this afternoon and all day tomorrow and would love it done before Wednesday if possible when the weather goes crap again. Thanks and Talk Soon Matt Thompson

Looking for a qualified, licensed mobile mechanic to perform a diagnostic inspection on my 2006 Hilux 4.0L V6 4x4 .The engine recently overheated from a water pump leak and is now running rough with a ticking noise. My dad did a basic compression test and found one cylinder has low compression. The top end of the engine is currently half-disassembled (valve covers and intake plenum are off). I need a professional to come out to my garage to perform a Cylinder Leak-Down Test and use a Borescope Camera down the low cylinder. To determine if the low compression is just a blown head gasket, or if there is More damage to the cylinder walls or pistons Thanks Kyle
