Hi there, we are a friendly warm gay couple. We're looking for a babysitter for regular babysitting requests. Must have experience babysitting children (and/or have had children of your own) and would love if you're happy to do a couple of light tasks around the house once the child is asleep like folding laundry or stacking/un-stacking the dishwasher, tidying up toys if at all :) Preference for qualified childcare workers/educators who are looking for evening shifts, and anyone who can speak the Malayalam language but not necessary. If we all feel happy/comfortable after the first shift, we'd love to meet someone we can stay in touch with for regular baby sitting down the track! The requirements will generally be evening/night-times on weekdays and weekends, and sometimes weekend afternoons on an as-needs basis. Must be comfortable working with a queer family, in our home. We are happy to pay $20 to $25/hour and we have only put 1 hour on the airtasker advertisement so you don't have to pay high fees. The remainder will be paid in person in cash for each session. Babysit 3 year old evenings every week/fortnight on Friday/ sat. Play, put to bed etc. looking for someone to come for around 3 hours between 6.30pm - 11pm. Duties: Caring for our child and tending to his needs, including: reading, playing, arts and crafts, outdoor play, changing nappies. If he is napping, we'd love to have someone capable of showing initiative to help out with basic household duties on as needed basis, such as sweeping, dishes, wiping down surfaces, folding clothes etc. When we need you: We don't have set days or times as yet, but ideally would like someone with flexible availability. Let us know what you have available. Why we need you: Mum works from home in a detached studio, and needs help with babysitting and general household duties so she can work without disruptions. Dad works outside the home four days a week, and is trying to study and work on establishing a side business on the other days. We're finding it very hard to get any work done with the constant demands of a toddler and housework, and feel it's time to bring another set of hands into our family to help out. We haven't had a baby free night since he was born two years ago so would also love to find a carer we can entrust with our toddler so we can have an occasional lunch or dinner here or there. What we will provide: In addition to payment, we offer a safe and welcoming household, free use of wifi, a vegetarian kitchen to call your own, help yourself to food and drinks. When we're working from home, we'll be available to help with mealtimes and provide you with regular breaks, so you'll always feel free to leave to run errands and do whatever you need to do. We also have a spare bedroom available for any late night babysitting.
