The job consists of three parts:Internal Door Replacement & Painting:I have a standard internal hollow-core bedroom door with multiple holes that needs a complete replacement. You will need to source a matching primed MDF flush door blank from Bunnings West Footscray (approx. 8 mins away), transport it to the apartment, trim it to fit the frame, chisel out the hinges, swap over the handle hardware, and hang it. You will also need to apply two coats of matching interior door paint (usually semi-gloss white).Plaster Wall Repair & Painting:There is one horizontal rectangular cutout hole in the plasterboard wall (approx. 20-30cm wide). This needs to be repaired using a timber backing block, a matching plasterboard patch piece, taped, flushed, and sanded completely smooth. You will need to take a small flake of the current wall paint to Bunnings to get an exact color match (1L tin) and paint the patched area so it blends seamlessly with the rest of the wall.Cleanup & Disposal:Please ensure plastic drop sheets are used to protect the carpet from plaster dust and paint drips. The quote must include the removal and disposal of the old broken door. Please provide a total quote including all materials (door, plaster, paint) and labor. Thank you!

Hi there, I need an experienced handyman to handle a full door replacement and a small plaster wall patch at my apartment in Footscray (Victoria Square complex).I want a completely all-inclusive service where you supply all the materials, tools, and paint so it is completely hassle-free for me. Scope of work involves: Supply New Door Leaf: Supply a standard pre-primed flush hollow-core internal door leaf (35mm thick). The exact dimensions of my current door are , e.g., 2040mm x 820mm. Install & Fit Door: Remove the damaged door. Transfer my existing modern brushed-chrome square lever handles and privacy latch over to the new door. Install hinges, plane/trim the door if needed to ensure a perfect fit, and hang it cleanly. Plaster Wall Patch: Clean up and patch a small rectangular punch hole in the plasterboard wall behind the door. You will need to use a structural mesh patch or timber backing offcut so it is completely solid, then compound, sand smooth, and finish flush. Paint Matching & Painting: Take a small flake of the damaged plaster to color-match the apartment's exact paint tone. Apply paint to the new door leaf and the wall patch so the repairs blend seamlessly and look brand new. Disposal: Take the old damaged door panel away with you. Please provide a fixed-price quote that completely covers your labor, the new door leaf, plaster/paint supplies, and disposal fees. Looking to get this sorted as soon as possible. I am attaching here the first 3 images related to the door, which would be replaced and then the last 4th image of the wall behind the door. Thank you!
