Task Description: We’re looking for one experienced, reliable and proactive person to help at a private party for approximately 100 guests in Annandale this Saturday, 29 August. Hours: 6:00pm–12:00 midnight Rate: $50 per hour – $300 total We already have 3 other waiters working on the night, but need one additional person who can help fill the gaps, keep things moving and assist wherever needed. The evening will roughly look like: 6:00pm–7:00pm Help assemble and style a large charcuterie board Assist with final food and party set-up 7:00pm–8:00pm Serve and circulate finger food to guests Clear used plates/glasses and keep serving areas tidy 8:00pm–9:00pm Help organise and set out the buffet-style main meal Replenish food and assist guests as required 9:00pm–12:00am Clear plates, glasses and rubbish Keep kitchen, buffet and party areas tidy General clean-up and assistance throughout the evening Help the other wait staff wherever needed Important: Experience putting together and styling charcuterie boards is a must. Please share photos of any previous charcuterie boards or similar grazing-table work you have done when applying. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, energetic, well presented and happy to take initiative rather than needing to be directed for every task. Hospitality, catering, wait staff or event experience would be ideal. When applying, please let me know a little about your previous hospitality/event experience, include photos of your charcuterie/grazing work, and confirm that you’re available for the full 6pm–midnight shift.

I'm hosting a small, whimsical princess-themed 6th birthday party for my daughter on 19 September, 12-4pm, at our home in Bayview. It's a special one — she missed her birthday last year due to being in hospital, so we want it to feel magical, but it's an intimate gathering, not a big production. Guest list: 9 girls. Already sorted: entertainment, cake, and a jumping castle are booked. What I need: I've bought some decor pieces myself (tulle, butterfly garlands/appliques, a sheer table overlay, some balloons) but I'm overwhelmed trying to pull it together. I need someone with a good eye for styling to: Come and view the house ASAP — ideally this week — so we can work out what else to order in time, as some items have a few weeks' wait Help style our dining table (which has a large arched window behind it) using what we've bought Carry the theme through a couple of connecting rooms so it feels continuous rather than one decorated corner Advise on any small extra pieces needed, keeping it soft and elegant rather than full kids'-party decor — palette is blush pink, lilac, ivory, soft gold, butterflies Optionally, if they have catering suggestions or contacts that suit the theme, I'm open to hearing them — not locked in yet Not needed: balloon arches, big installations, or entertainment — already covered. Timing: Urgent initial visit this week to plan and order in time; setup would then happen morning of the party or the evening before. Happy to send photos of the space and what I've bought already.

We’re looking for two friendly and experienced casual event staff to assist at First Stop Fitness’ first birthday party in Windsor. Event details: Saturday 29 August 2026 4:30pm–10:30pm Approximately 50 guests Indoor gym venue in Windsor The party runs from 5pm–10pm, with 30 minutes allowed before and after for setup and pack-down. One person will primarily manage the bar, while the second will initially manage guest check-in before assisting with food service and general event duties. Responsibilities will include: * Setting up the bar, drinks and check-in areas * Checking guests off a supplied RSVP list * Welcoming guests and directing them into the event * Collecting the name, phone number and email address of guests who have not registered * Providing guests with an entry stamp and prize-draw ticket * Serving beer, wine, sparkling and basic mixed drinks * Monitoring responsible service of alcohol * Replenishing drinks, ice, cups and food stations * Clearing used cups, plates and general rubbish * Keeping the bar and event areas tidy * Assisting with cake service * Helping with light pack-down at the end of the night We will provide the RSVP list, check-in form, alcohol, drinks, food and consumables. At least one staff member must hold a current Victorian RSA certificate. Previous bartending, hospitality, reception or event experience is essential. We’re looking for people who are warm, confident, proactive and comfortable working independently at a relaxed social event. As the check-in role involves handling guest contact information, discretion and care with personal details are important. Please wear neat, plain black attire and enclosed shoes.
