Contractor Scope of Work • Excavate the existing soil approximately 70–90 mm, or as required based on the existing ground levels. • Properly compact the existing subgrade. • Ensure the finished surface has a slight fall away from the house and adequate drainage. Water must not drain towards the house or pond within the landscaped area. • Install a permeable geotextile/weed-control membrane. • Install approximately 50–60 mm of compacted crushed rock as the main base. • Install approximately 15–20 mm of crusher dust/stone dust, screeded and compacted to provide a smooth surface for the artificial turf. • Supply and install approximately 30 mm artificial turf, including properly securing all edges and joins. • Supply and install Charcoal concrete sleepers only where required to retain the ground due to the existing slope/level difference. I do not want sleepers around the entire lawn unless structurally necessary. • Please keep the existing concrete pathway leading to the side gate unchanged. • Do not pour any additional concrete towards the council footpath. • All sleepers, turf and landscaping work must remain within my property boundary and must not encroach onto the council footpath. Garden Bed Please leave approximately 350 mm (35 cm) wide for the garden bed as shown in my landscaping design. • Do not install artificial turf in this area. • Please leave this area ready for planting and decorative pebbles. • I will supply and install the plants, white decorative pebbles and solar garden lights myself. • No separate space is required for the solar lights, as they will be installed within the same garden bed.
