Several genuine startup business ventures that are currently in the development stage and have incurred expenses but have generated little or no income yet. Business expenses including website development, domains, web hosting, software subscriptions, marketing, branding, product samples, supplier research, travel, home office costs, phone/internet usage, equipment, and other startup-related costs. I'm looking for someone who can: Prepare and lodge my Australian individual tax return. Review all business-related expenses and advise what can legally be claimed. Explain which expenses are immediately deductible and which may need to be depreciated or treated as capital expenses. Ensure everything is completed correctly in accordance with ATO requirements. Provide advice on record keeping and the best tax structure moving forward as my businesses grow. Ideally, you are: A registered Australian tax agent. Experienced with sole traders and startup businesses. Easy to communicate with and happy to explain things in plain English. Includes setting up payroll and auto superannuation payments for 3 staff, showing how to routinely pay the 3 staff each week, and how to connect invoicing and quotations, share with accountant. Need to do a little research to look up awards and conditions. Primarily I just need the payroll set up and a little walkthrough to show me how to pay each week. However work is available to help set up all tax obligations to monitor and report on subcontractors, vehicles and work with our accountant etc to bring us up to date if someone would like a bigger task. This would be in person in our home office to start and to give any walk throughs when the job is complete. If you’d like to do more accounting after the payroll set up that could be remote, however we like to meet people who would have access to our finances. We know it’s not for everyone it’s just the personal assurance we need.
