We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to review CCTV footage from a retail business over a 41-day period (approximately 3,600 hours of footage) for the purpose of identifying loss prevention concerns and suspicious activity. System allows for fast playback to enable easier/quicker reviewing etc. A fixed hourly rate or fixed contract for recorded periods to be negotiated. Ongoing reviewing may be offered pursuant to this initial project. Due to the amount of footage - the easiest way to review is via online access (either by app or desktop) Responsibilities Include: • Reviewing CCTV footage carefully and methodically • Identifying and documenting: o Theft/shoplifting incidents o Staff theft or cash discrepancies o Suspicious or inappropriate transactions o Potential scams, distraction techniques, or “sleight of hand” behaviour o Any other behaviour that may indicate financial or stock loss Training Provided: The successful applicant will receive guidance and training on: • Common theft tactics and behavioural indicators • Cash-handling scams and manipulation techniques • Specific triggers and patterns to watch for • Reporting expectations and evidence collection Requirements: • High attention to detail • Patience and ability to concentrate for long periods • Strong observational skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism • Experience in security, investigations, retail loss prevention, or CCTV monitoring is highly regarded but not essential Deliverables: • Clear written reports with: o Date/time stamps and relevant AV clips o Description of incidents o Persons involved o Relevant observations and concerns This task may suit someone with a background in: Security, policing, investigations, retail management, auditing, surveillance, or analytical work.
