Overview "Budget is a guide, happy to discuss" Install level concrete paver footings under each leg of a timber children's play structure, plus a draining sandpit base (gravel + geotextile + play sand). Pavers bedded on compacted road base so they stay level. Sandpit must drain, not pool. Site / dimensions ⚫️ Footprint: 2.25 m × 1.8 m ⚫️ Footing points / legs: 6 - 40x40cm with 2 - 60x40cm ⚫️ Sandpit zone: 2.1m × 1.65 m ⚫️ Ground: reactive clay (Doreen) Materials (Supplied by me) ⚫️ Concrete pavers (1 per leg) ⚫️ Geotextile / weed mat Materials (Supplied by Trade) ⚫️ Crushed rock / road base (bedding) ⚫️ 10–20mm drainage gravel (sandpit) ⚫️ Washed play sand (NOT builder's sand) Steps — paver footings 1. Mark footprint and each leg position. 2. Excavate a footing pad at each leg, ~100–150mm below finished level. 3. Fill with ~75–100mm road base and compact firmly — no pavers on bare soil (clay shifts and throws structure out of level). 4. Bed a paver on each pad. Level each one, and check all pavers level relative to each other (string line / long level). 5. Confirm full footing set dead level before structure goes on. Steps — sandpit zone 6. Excavate sandpit ~150–200mm below finished sand level. 7. Lay ~50–100mm drainage gravel, level it. 8. Lay geotextile over gravel, lapping up sides — passes water, stops sand washing down, blocks weeds. 9. Fill with washed play sand to finished level. Notes ⚫️ Level is critical — doors/windows rely on even footings. ⚫️ Do NOT seal under the sand; must drain to ground. ⚫️ Reactive clay site — flag if any footing needs deeper base. ⚫️ Confirm footings level + sandpit draining before sign-off.

I need approx 24m2 of paving done. The ground needs levelling as well. At the moment there is sand, 5m2 paving (needs removing) and a bit of grass. I would like a small deck installed on the front porch. The pavers on the porch can be used on the area’s out the front that need paving (x 3 garden beds). The backyard will be approx 16m2 and a rectangle shape that needs paving. I’m unsure of budget at this stage. I’m looking for quotes. I’m happy for someone to come and have a look?
