Painting Job Description – Smoke/Soot Stained Bedroom The bedroom ceiling and sections of the walls have developed significant dark/black staining, believed to be from regular candle and incense use. Scope of Work * Thoroughly inspect the ceiling and all walls include WIR area. * Properly clean and degrease the surfaces to remove soot, smoke residue and staining before any painting is carried out. * Prepare the surfaces appropriately, including light sanding where required, to achieve a smooth finish and ensure proper paint adhesion. * Repair/fill any minor surface imperfections if necessary. * Apply an appropriate stain-blocking/sealing primer to prevent the dark smoke/soot staining from bleeding through the new paint. * Paint the entire affected ceiling area and all the WALLS to achieve an even, consistent finish. * Paint the top to bottom of the walls * Existing paint colour must be accurately colour matched so that repaired areas blend with the rest of the room. A paint sample may need to be taken for professional colour matching. * Apply sufficient coats to achieve complete coverage with no visible black staining, patchiness or colour differences. * Protect floors, furniture, cornices and other surrounding surfaces during the work. * Leave the room clean and tidy upon completion, including removal of painting/preparation debris. Objective: Restore the ceiling and all the walls to their original clean and professionally finished appearance, with no visible smoke/soot staining.
