I need all paint stripped from two timber-framed windows in my first-floor flat in Heidelberg, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom. Photos attached. The job: Strip all paint back to clean bare timber on the interior faces: frames, sashes, glazing bars, sills and surrounds Both are large multi-pane windows with fixed panes plus opening sashes, so there's detail work around the glass, putty lines and hardware Light sand to a smooth, even finish, ready for a new coating Remove or mask the hardware and blinds, and leave the glass clean and unscratched Take all waste away and leave the rooms clean Important: It's a 1970s building, so please assume the old paint may contain lead and use lead-safe methods (chemical stripper, infrared or wet scraping, HEPA vac). No dry power sanding or open-flame burning. Floors are polished concrete and must be fully protected No gouging, scorch marks or damaged glazing putty About me: owner-occupier, home to give access, flexible on dates including weekends. I pay promptly on completion and leave a detailed review for good work. To quote, please include: Your method and experience with timber window restoration A fixed price for both windows, including materials and disposal How long you expect it to take Photos of similar jobs I'm after someone careful who takes pride in a clean finish, not the fastest or cheapest.

Looking for an experienced painter/handyman with excellent attention to detail to finish some timber work at our home in Camberwell. For the baby gates: * Leave the existing natural timber gate frames exactly as they are. * Leave the black hinges as they are. * Fill screw holes, joins and any rough/unfinished areas in the added timber mounting posts/blocks only. * Sand those posts smooth, prime and paint them in a high-quality white lustre / satin finish so they blend neatly with the existing white staircase and look professionally finished. * Care needs to be taken around the acrylic panels, hinges and latch hardware. For the 2 timber Adirondack chairs: * Prepare/lightly sand as required. * Repaint in a high-quality white lustre finish. * Apply an appropriate durable exterior protective finish/sealer. The chairs sit under a covered verandah. Please bring your own sanding equipment, filler, primer, brushes/rollers, drop sheets, PPE/gloves and other tools. Happy to purchase the final paint once we agree on the right product. I’m looking for a smooth, neat finish with no obvious filler marks, drips or heavy brush marks.
