Hi, I’m looking for an experienced bookkeeper or accountant (Australia) to assist with a recently closed small beauty/spa business. My previous accountant registered the business for GST as we expected turnover to exceed the threshold, however total sales were approximately $40,000 before closure, and the business has now ceased trading. I need assistance with: • preparing and lodging the final BAS • calculating GST payable and GST credits from business expenses • assisting with GST cancellation • assisting with ABN / business closure requirements if needed • preparing and lodging outstanding sole trader tax return(s) • calculating any income tax owing, as no tax has yet been paid • advising on any ATO debt and payment plan options • if possible, setting up a new business in Xero for my new venture I do not currently have an expenses or spending spreadsheet prepared, so I need someone who can help work from: • bank statements • merchant / EFTPOS statements • invoices • receipts • booking platform reports to reconcile income and expenses and prepare the required lodgements. Business type: beauty / spa / Japanese head spa services Location: Australia (remote is perfectly fine) Please only apply if experienced with Australian BAS, GST, sole trader tax returns, and small business bookkeeping. I would really appreciate someone patient who can guide me through what documents are needed, as I’m currently unsure of the exact expense totals. Fixed quote preferred.
