Hi, I’m looking for an experienced irrigation designer/hydraulics expert to review my proposed residential irrigation system before I install it myself. I’ve attached my irrigation plan, site plans and aerial images showing the lawn areas, measurements and proposed water setup. The design has 6 zones using Hunter valves and Hunter MP Rotator pop-ups. Design pressure is approximately 300 kPa, with zone flows of approximately 0.49–0.96 L/sec (29–58 L/min). What I need reviewed Please check: Sprinkler spacing, positioning and coverage Flow requirements for each zone Pressure requirements and losses Mainline/lateral pipe sizing Valve sizing Approximately 4 m elevation rise Longer pipe runs and friction losses Whether MP Rotators are appropriate Whether zones should be split or changed Any obvious flow/pressure issues Overall hydraulic viability and coverage Water supply / pump My measured mains supply is approximately 36 L/min at 280 kPa. I’m considering a 2,000 L storage/buffer tank so I can operate larger zones than the mains can supply directly. The proposed pump is a Grundfos CMB-SP 3-56. A key part of the review is to calculate the actual pump duty point (flow + total head), allowing for the required sprinkler pressure, ~4 m elevation, pipe friction, valves and fittings, and compare this against the manufacturer's pump curve. I want to know whether the proposed pump will actually deliver the required flow at the required pressure at the furthest/highest sprinklers. Important: I’m doing the installation myself and do NOT need installation/labour. I’m looking for practical design/hydraulic advice only from someone experienced with Hunter systems, MP Rotators, pumps and tanks. Please quote for a design review/consultation only.

Looking for an experienced pool technician in Preston (3072) for a job in three parts: 1. Initial service: Get our pool back into full working order. This includes a thorough clean (vacuum, brush walls and tiles, skim, empty baskets), testing and balancing the water chemistry, checking the pump and filter are running properly, and getting it looking clean and inviting. 2. Basic training: Once it's sorted, walk us through the basics so we can keep on top of it between visits. Things like how to test the water, what chemicals to add and when, how to run the pump and filter, and what warning signs to look for. 3. Ongoing maintenance: If the first visit goes well, we'd like to set up a regular maintenance arrangement (fortnightly or monthly, open to your recommendation). Looking to hire someone to complete a garden design for our front and backyard. It will include: open lawn area for kids and dogs to play, attractive low maintenance plants, area for future kids play equipment, potentially a small area for herbs and veggies, utilise and enhance the existing fire pit area,. The final design would ideally include: Consideration of sun position and shading, selection of native and exotic plants suited to the Canberra climate, practical layout that makes use of space, suggested plants, trees and gardens for the space, materials/finishes for the space, consideration of future enhancements such as the addition of decking. We’re looking for someone to help us design a simple, attractive and cost-efficient front garden for our home in Melbourne. The current garden is very bland and largely consists of approximately 70m² of lawn surrounded by hedges. Unfortunately, the lawn isn’t working particularly well — part of it gets very little sunlight and becomes mossy/dead, and we also have recurring mushrooms. There is also a well-worn path across the lawn from the front gate to the front door. We’d like someone to look at the garden as a whole and help us develop a practical design that makes better use of the space, rather than simply replacing the grass. We’re open to different ideas, including fake grass, paved areas, pools etc, pending cost. There are also some uneven steps and a front porch area that we may look to re-level/re-tile, so ideally the design would consider how these areas connect with the garden. We’re particularly interested in someone who can think creatively about how to get the biggest visual and functional improvement for the lowest reasonable cost. Happy to work with a landscape design student, recent graduate or someone earlier in their career with a good eye for design. Please include examples of previous garden/landscape design work and what you would provide as part of the job.
