We are looking for a kind, reliable and caring person to assist my elderly father each morning in Hamilton (Wharf Street), Brisbane. This role would be ideal for a nursing student, aged care student, or someone studying allied health who is looking to gain experience while making a genuine difference in someone’s day. About the role: • 1 to 1.5 hours each morning (7 days a week preferred) • $30 per hour • Be present while my father showers and gets ready for the day • Assist with walking to and from the ensuite using his walker • Provide supervision to ensure he remains safe and help prevent falls • Offer friendly company and reassurance My father is independent with showering and personal care. He doesn’t require hands-on assistance—just someone nearby for safety and companionship. We’re looking for someone who is: • Kind, patient and dependable • Studying or experienced in nursing, aged care, paramedicine or another allied health field • Has basic medical knowledge and knows how to respond appropriately if a fall or medical incident were to occur • Able to safely assist with lifting or supporting him if needed, using proper techniques • Comfortable working with older adults • Able to commit to regular morning visits If you’re interested, please send me a message with a little about yourself, your qualifications or studies, any relevant experience, and your availability.
