I'm looking for a quote to repair and replace the bottom weather seal on my garage door. I have already purchased: A new bottom rubber weather seal. A new aluminum bottom retainer/rail. The existing aluminum bottom retainer has come loose from the bottom of the garage door and needs to be securely reattached or replaced. I'm not sure if the new straight aluminum retainer I purchased is compatible with my garage door, so I'd like you to assess whether it can be installed or if another retainer would be more suitable. I'm looking for a professional installation that includes: Assessing the existing bottom retainer and the new replacement retainer. Securely installing the new aluminum retainer (or reattaching/replacing the existing one if more appropriate). Installing the supplied bottom weather seal. Ensuring the door seals evenly against the floor with no gaps. Making sure the retainer is straight, securely fixed, and provides a neat, flush, and professional finish. Please include labour and any additional materials required (excluding the seal and aluminum retainer, which I will supply). If you recommend a different retainer, please explain why and include it as an optional item in the quote. I've attached photos of the existing setup, the loose bottom retainer, and the new seal and retainer for reference.

I’m looking for someone to help scrape and remove failed interior wall paint from the living areas of my home in Hocking. The paint has poor adhesion and is peeling away in sheets in many places. I have already completed a substantial amount but need an extra set of hands to speed up the remaining work. The work involves scraping loose paint, including some easy-peel sections and some slower, fiddly areas, while taking care not to damage the underlying plaster. Paint debris will also need to be collected as the work progresses. I can provide scrapers and basic equipment. Experience with painting, plastering, wall preparation or renovation work would be helpful. This is for scraping and preparation only; no painting is required. The job includes: * Remove existing gas insert. * Safely disconnect/cap the gas connection (licensed if required). * Install the new wood heater into the existing masonry fireplace. * Supply and install the required flue, cowl and installation materials. * Ensure the installation complies with Australian Standards. * Test the heater and remove/dispose of the old gas unit. New description Apartment maintenance – shower drain, sliding wardrobe doors & entry door closer Hi, Looking for a handyman / maintenance person to inspect and repair 3 issues in my apartment: 1. Shower drain cover/channel The long shower drain cover/channel is loose and does not sit securely in place. I took it to Bunnings and was advised it may need a custom replacement piece or custom solution rather than an off-the-shelf part. Looking for someone to inspect, supply and install the appropriate fix/replacement. 2. Sliding wardrobe doors The mirrored sliding wardrobe doors do not roll smoothly and regularly get stuck/jam. I believe the wardrobe door tracks/runner system need replacing. I do not have replacement tracks or parts, so I’m looking for someone who can inspect, supply the required tracks/rollers and install them. The goal is for both doors to slide smoothly without sticking or catching. 3. Entry door closer The apartment entry door previously closed and latched automatically by itself. It now no longer fully closes/shuts on its own and often remains partially open unless pushed shut manually. Looking for someone to inspect and adjust or repair the door closer mechanism so the door closes and latches properly again. Photos attached. Please quote including labour and advise whether parts are likely required after inspection. Please also advise if you can complete all three items in the same visit. I need help converting an existing wall cavity into open shelving from the back side. Scope of work: Remove existing TV bracket Remove the wall-mounted TV bracket from the current front opening. Close/seal the current front opening Close off the existing front recess/opening. The opening is approximately: Width: 51.5 cm Height: 76 cm Depth: around 100 cm Both sides of the opening need to be sealed properly. Finish with plasterboard/plastering as required. Paint the repaired area to match the existing wall colour as closely as possible. Open the wall from the back side The internal space behind the current opening is empty and can be used. Cut/open the wall from the rear side to access this cavity. Build open storage shelves Build simple open shelving inside the cavity. No cabinet doors are required. Approximate size: Height: 200 cm Width: 91 cm Depth: 52 cm Install around 4–5 shelves. Shelves should be strong enough for general storage. Light switch relocation There is an existing light switch on the wall where the shelving will be opened. The switch needs to be relocated to the side wall. Important notes: The cavity has been checked and is empty, with no other items inside.
