Looking for an experienced flooring professional to remove existing carpet and underlay from two bedrooms, dispose of the waste, and supply and install new laminate floating floorboards along with matching scotia/beading. Room Dimensions Bedroom 1: 3.0m x 2.9m Bedroom 2: 3.0m x 3.0m Total Area: Approximately 17.7 square meters (plus allowances for wastage). Scope of Work 1. Removal & Disposal: Uplift existing carpet and underlay in both rooms, pull up any remaining tack strips if necessary, and responsibly discard all old materials off-site. 2. Subfloor Preparation: Inspect and sweep the subfloors to ensure they are clean, dry, and level prior to installation. 3. Supply & Install: Supply appropriate acoustic underlay. Supply and install laminate floating floorboards (rated AC4 or higher for durability, with a preferred modern neutral oak or timber-look finish). Install matching scotia or quad moulding around the perimeter of both rooms to cover expansion gaps. 4. Finishing: Ensure doors clear the new floor height (trimming if required) and leave the work area clean and tidy. Tasker Requirements Proven experience in floating floor installation. Must bring all necessary tools, drop cloths, and cleanup equipment. Provide options or samples for the laminate flooring, or let me know the material budget breakdown if supply is included in the offer. When applying, please specify whether your quoted price includes the cost of the laminate materials and underlay, or if you are quoting for labor only.

Preparing our property in Little Jilliby for sale and looking for someone experienced in deck restoration to freshen up two existing timber deck/verandah areas. The decks are generally in serviceable condition, but the existing finish is weathered and faded and needs refreshing. Scope: * Clean/pressure wash both timber deck areas * Prepare surfaces properly before staining * Light sanding where required, particularly weathered or uneven areas * Apply suitable exterior decking stain/oil, likely 2 coats * Achieve a clean, consistent finish suitable for presenting the property for sale * Protect surrounding walls, doors, posts and other surfaces * Clean up on completion * Flag any damaged/rotten boards requiring repair before undertaking additional work One area is a large covered timber verandah running along the house; the other is a pine deck. $900 budget is for labour and equipment. Decking stain/oil and agreed materials will be paid separately. I can purchase materials based on your recommendation. Looking for someone with experience preparing and refinishing timber decks who can complete the work within the next week.

Rear deck: Approx. 12m × 2m (24m²), built over an existing flat, structurally sound concrete terrace. One long edge follows irregular sandstone/landscape. Low-profile construction to suit existing house/door levels. No balustrades required. Staircase: Approx. 7m horizontal run with 2m total rise. Approx. 1.2m wide, or maximum practical width. Broad landscape-style timber stairs to replace/cover existing irregular concrete/rock stairs. Open to recommendations on design/construction method. No handrail preferred. Materials/access: I will supply all timber to your specification and arrange barge transport to Great Mackerel Beach. Long-wheelbase golf cart available for moving materials/tools on site. I can also assist with moving materials, demolition, site preparation and other unskilled labour. Exclusive use of the cottage can be provided for worker accommodation during the job if helpful. Quote required for: Skilled construction labour, structural fixings/consumables and any required concrete/footing work. Please recommend the most appropriate construction method for the deck/stairs. Scope of Works The contractor is requested to provide a quotation for the following: Remove existing rotten and deteriorated decking slats.
